Your Wedding Experience

At Shado of a Rose, we understand the significance of your special day and strive to provide a client-focused wedding experience that surpasses expectations. We are a dedicated team working meticulously to bring your vision to life, ensuring every detail is tailored to reflect your unique style and preferences. From the initial consultation to the final farewell, we prioritize open communication and collaboration to deliver a seamless and stress-free planning process. Your happiness and satisfaction are at the core of our services, promising a personalized and unforgettable wedding celebration that you and your guests will cherish for a lifetime.

  • It’s your Wedding Day! You’ve waited months or even a year and it’s finally here. We will text you earlier that day to say hello and give you a heads up we are on our way.

    We often arrive 15-20 minutes before our agreed upon start time to get the lay of the land. We make sure to connect with you both once we arrive.

    Typically we split up and photograph the pre-wedding jitters for our respective partners or arrange a first look. We take this opportunity to capture details, arrangements being made, guests arriving, or portraits of family and friends with each respective partner. We utilize our time to our best ability, using every opportunity as a way to capture the energy of the day. We ask that you prepare a photo list of groups you want photographed together and a timeline of your day! This helps guide us as your day progresses and we capture all the finer details you have in mind.

    Most importantly, we all gather to capture the ceremony. You’ll see us grinning from ear-to-ear as you head down the aisle. Soak in the moment and we will be there to capture every second. When you get down the aisle as a married couple we suggest continuing a private spot. Take a minute as newlyweds and embrace these first few minutes of marriage.

    Lastly, our family portrait and newly wed sessions will be done at your pace. Depending on how many photos you want captured or how depthful you’d like the couples session will determine our time frame. We can decide prior to the day or day-of how quickly we want to take pictures. It’s your cocktail hour so let us know how much of it you want to attend! We will provide your our most efficient work and take your lead.

    The most important aspect to know about us is that we join in the fun. We believe the experience is as important as the final product. You’ll see us on the dance floor, in the action, and pumped up during your reception. We bring joy and enthusiasm from start to finish.

  • Our goal is to stay in regular communication. The most effective way to do that is Instagram and Facebook. Please follow and friend us!

    We make sure to speak on the phone when we make introductions; a vibe check if you will! Ideally there’s chemistry between the four of us and we feel connected enough to move forward with a contract.

    Once we are booked, we set up an engagement session. Hopefully for your most ideal season. After that session, we connect 2 weeks - 1 month prior to the wedding day.

    We will review your ideal portrait groups and timeline for the day. We can confirm your first look, getting ready locations, ceremony details, and any special ideas you two might have!

  • Once becoming our client, we offer an easy-to-use and organized client portal. It includes your contract, invoice, and client questionnaire we will routinely refer back to as a way of getting to know you and help us all stay on track of planning for your photography priorities.

  • We never want to make our couples wait to see the magic on their wedding day. Within 48 to 72 hour, we deliver 30-60 of the best images of your wedding day.

  • We know how much you’ll be itching to get your photos, and we don’t blame you. We work effectively and efficiently to get you an exquisite gallery. You’ll only have to wait 4-8 weeks depending on your choice in package!

  • We want to make this as convenient as possible for you. That is why we don’t nickel and dime the gallery process. What you pay upfront is your bottom line, so our galleries dont come with any extra costs. We love that our clients can easily and quickly share their photos with everyone from their special day.

    We deliver your gallery in a website link that comes with a download pin. We encourage all our clients to send this out to everyone from the wedding to make sure everyone gets to relive all the incredible moments. If you would like to see examples of full galleries just ask and we will send them along!

    We leave our galleries on our pixieset for one year and then they will leave the site. Please take measures to download the photos you want before that time. If you’d like to add a flash drive of the images to your package please let us know.

  • Our goal is to always be available to you! We like to consider ourselves not just photographers but a resource for you along this journey. We understand how complex and involved planning your wedding day is and our experience has made us jacks of all trades. We know a little about every part of the process so feel free to ask us questions or share the little victories. We’re here to build a relationship not just fill a need.

  • Our own, Isabelle is a professional custom framer. She will consult on a vintage custom piece best suited for your home’s aesthetic.

    A custom framed portrait can be created for your family and friends if you choose to create gifts from your wedding gallery.

    Shado Of a Rose Photography works with Kiss, a designer wedding album company with a customizable interface making our designing work collaborative and easeful.

What should clients know about your pricing?

We are flexible! We start the conversation with a base quote and we encourage a discussion so we can land on a price that best fits your needs and budget.

What is your typical process for working with a new client?

Once we connect, we’ll agree on a DATE, LOCATION, and PRICE, and you'll receive a contract to sign. After our experience together, you'll receive a digital edited gallery available to download, publish, and share at your leisure.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

We've been in business together since April 2020. What started as a hobby for both of us became our full-time passion and career. We were aspiring travel photographers as we entered college, and it's only now that we are seeing the fruits of that labor. Weddings became a space in which we thrived, even during COVID, which proved challenging for everyone. We enjoy the ongoing journey of discovering this work and each other, and hope the same for our clients.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

We started out as concert photographers working in very low-light scenarios. We developed strong candid skills at those shows and are now mastering our posing work in the wedding and event scene. Many people can take adequate photos, but it's the experts that can mold and shape a perfect moment! Leave it to us—we will do a fantastic job.

What types of clients have you worked with?

We work with a diverse group of people with a variety of needs. We don't like to pigeonhole ourselves. Variation and surprise are two things we crave in our work. We welcome all opportunities, which helps to push us outside our comfort zones.

What advice would you give a client looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure you vibe with your photographer! Give them a call, chit chat, and make sure they’re someone you'd enjoy working with. You'll get the best out of your shots when your personalities complement each other.
